  Why I Am Running

Congress is broken. As a business owner and engineer, I am deeply concerned as one bill after another risk not only our country and communities, but our businesses, families, and us individually.

For example, Congress does not understand technology. We need engineers in Washington who understand technology.

We need varied perspectives and knowledge, in Congress: Real people, not career politicians and lobbyists who are only worried about their next election or paycheck.

As I watch my 13 nieces and nephews grow up, they give me faith and optimism for our future, if we can just give them a chance.

  • We must not leave our families trillions of dollars of debt,

  • We must not leave our families a broken economy,

  • We must not leave our families a divided nation, and

  • We must keep our jobs in our country rather than shipping them overseas.

We must stop undermining the strength of our country, day-after-day, with legislation written for special interests instead of those which focus on the future of this great nation.

  About Chuck

Chuck Moss was raised in a military family. A resident of Nokesville in the "Rural Crescent" of Prince William County, Chuck grew up mostly in Virginia and is a graduate of George Mason University. He owns a network consulting business and a small farm where he raises horses, chickens, and bees.

Chuck founded Complete Network Solutions (CNSI) in 1996. His company supports dozens of clients in many different industries for government, military, commercial, and non-profit organizations. CNSI specializes in network design, security, and connectivity. As an engineer, Chuck has many years of experience solving technical challenges for clients in a cost-effective manner.

Giving back to the community is also important to Chuck. Over the years he has continually volunteered his time and expertise to help many inspiring groups, which included ICON Community Services supporting people with disabilities, maintaining an online tool for people with epilepsy, and even overseas, for example, a water project in Ethiopia.

  Ideas Worth Fighting For...

Increasingly, the challenges our country faces in both security and the economy require an understanding of the technology involved. Congress does not understand technology. We need engineers in Washington who understand technology.

Not only do we need someone in Washington who can ask the right questions, but also get the right answers and write good legislation based on this knowledge and experience.

Too often we focus on the simple question of whether we need bigger or smaller government budgets. The truth is we need to focus on streamlining government and simplifying legislation and regulations so they work better for you.

An efficient and effective government will be smaller and require less tax dollars to run, for individuals and businesses.

We all know that a larger and more complicated legislative system in Washington leads to conflicts of interest, perverse incentives and crony capitalism.

If we are to change Washington, we must change our representatives in Congress. This can start in 2014 in Virginia with the election of a new voice, a new kind of U.S. Senator. Someone you can be proud of who will put your interests first.

That person is Chuck Moss.
